I am a Massachusetts Reading Specialist and Special Educator with a focus on literacy instruction and English Language Arts. I have 20 years of experience in public school education, working with students of all ages with a wide range of learning needs.
I earned my B.A. in American Studies/Literature from Rutgers University and my J.D. from Roger Williams School of Law. I hold a Massachusetts Reading Specialist license and completed Orton-Gillingham training through the Stern Center for Language and Learning.
My background in education, literacy, and law gives me a unique perspective when working with students and families. I understand the importance of looking at the whole student, examining the data and instructional needs, and helping families navigate the educational process with clarity and purpose.
But at the heart of my work is something much simpler: I love helping students and their families.
I believe that students can make meaningful progress when they receive appropriate, individualized instruction—and that families deserve to feel informed, supported, and heard.
I live in Kingston, MA with my husband and three children.
If your child is struggling with reading or you have questions about an IEP, I would be happy to learn more about your child’s needs and discuss how individualized support may be helpful.
I provide individualized educational support designed to meet students where they are and help families better understand and advocate for their child’s needs. Through specialized reading instruction and IEP consulting, my goal is to help students build meaningful skills, confidence, and independence.
Learning to read doesn't look the same for every child. When a student is struggling with reading, writing, spelling, or foundational literacy skills, the right instruction can make a meaningful difference.
I provide individualized reading instruction grounded in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a structured, explicit, multisensory approach to literacy instruction.
Instruction is systematic and responsive, with the goal of helping students understand not only what to do, but why they are doing it.
Most importantly, I want students to experience success. Building literacy skills is important—but so is building confidence.
An IEP is an important roadmap for a student's education, but it can be difficult to know whether a plan truly reflects a child's needs.
I provide independent educational consulting to help parents and caregivers understand, develop, and review IEPs with a focus on meaningful student learning and progress.
I can help families identify questions, clarify educational terminology, and consider whether the proposed supports and goals are aligned with their child's needs.
My role is to help families feel informed, prepared, and confident as they participate in the educational process.
Effective educational support starts with understanding the individual student, their strengths, challenges, current skills, and instructional needs. My approach is thoughtful, practical, and focused on meaningful progress.
Support shaped around each student's strengths, challenges, current skills, and unique learning needs.
Thoughtful guidance focused on helping each student build meaningful skills, confidence, and independence.

IEP consulting can include reviewing present levels, evaluation results, goals, services, accommodations, modifications, progress monitoring, and whether the IEP appropriately addresses a student's individual learning needs.
